Providing students work experience.
Since its launch in 2012, more than 50 Eastern students have participated in ‘Easternships’ at CforC member companies. The program places students in paid internships where they shadow CEOs and senior staff, learning about the professional workplace and the range of jobs available within different companies. All students who participate are given meaningful job duties and receive professional development.
All 37 Easternship participants who have remained at Eastern are on track to graduate.
Since 2013, Easternships have provided Eastern Senior High School students internship opportunities where they receive an on‐the‐job work experience. The program allows students to observe CEOs and senior staff at area businesses and non-profit organizations, exposing them to professional workplaces as well as a range of careers.
