Points of Pride

A Reggio Emilia School.

The Reggio Emilia Approach is an educational philosophy for preschool and primary education that encourages learning through exploration and discovery in a supportive and enriching environment. The Reggio Approach has been implemented in the Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classes since 2008. Many of our outstanding teachers have had the opportunity to visit the Reggio Schools in Italy where the Reggio Approach originated in the 1950s.

Interesting Fact.

Museum in a School.  Once a year, Miner Elementary is transformed into a Museum.  Children become docents and showcase the work they have been doing throughout the year for fellow students, teachers, parents and visitors. Museums provide the opportunity for education to move beyond the traditional classroom, as students forge more deeply into topics and concepts, and become teachers themselves.
